Boots is a health and beauty retailer and pharmacy chain with its roots in Nottingham, where John Boot opened a herbal medicine shop in 1849. His son Jesse Boot grew it into a national chain, and the company later helped develop the painkiller ibuprofen in the 1960s. After years as part of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Boots became part of a separate private company, The Boots Group, in August 2025.
Boots sells medicines, toiletries, skincare, make-up, fragrance, baby products, small electricals and gifts, including its own brands such as No7. Its pharmacies dispense NHS and private prescriptions and offer health services, and many branches include Boots Opticians or hearing care.
Boots has around 2,000 shops across the UK and Ireland, from local pharmacies to large health and beauty stores, including shops in many airports. Online orders can be delivered or collected from most stores, and some branches deliver through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. The Boots Advantage Card is central to its pricing, with points on most purchases and member-only Price Advantage offers.

Usually not: most stores, including Boots, accept one discount code per order. Automatic deals and sale prices can often be combined with a code, so check the terms on each offer.
Most codes exclude gift cards and items already reduced, and some need a minimum spend or are for new customers only. Open Terms on the code, or tap "Didn't work?" and we'll recheck it.
Tap Get code and we copy it for you. Add your items to the basket on the Boots website, then paste the code into the discount or promo code box at checkout.
