Craftiosity is a craft kit subscription run by a small team in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Each month it sends out a box containing one complete project, from embroidery and sashiko to clay, macramé and cyanotype. The box includes the materials and tools, step-by-step photo instructions and a link to an online video tutorial, so all you need to add is a pencil, a ruler or a similar household bit.

It suits people who like trying a new skill without buying a pile of supplies, and it's a popular gift. You can skip a month or cancel from your account whenever you like. Past projects are also sold as one-off kits, and the Little Makers range offers kits for children aged 7 to 12.

What's worth a look

Current offers

  • Craftiosity Rewards, where points for orders, reviews and referrals turn into money off, from £1 for 100 points up to £27.

How to save more

  • Compare the subscriber codes before checking out: CRAFTER15 is a larger percentage than NEWSUBSCRIBER10 on a first box.
  • If you're giving a gift, a 3-month subscription with CRAFTGIFT15 brings the per-box cost down further.
  • Use the skip option for months when the project isn't for you, rather than cancelling and losing your place.

Boxes are too big for most letterboxes, so consider a work address or somewhere someone will be in. Craftiosity also posts to the EU for an extra £5.65 a box and to Australia and New Zealand for £11.10, but not to the US or Canada.
