Flibco runs shuttle buses between city centres and airports, mostly the ones used by budget airlines. In the UK that means coaches to London Stansted from Liverpool Street, Stratford and Redbridge, and from Finsbury Park via Wood Green and Enfield. Abroad, it's a handy way to get from Charleroi to Brussels, from Bergamo or Malpensa into Milan, and, from this autumn, between Munich and Memmingen Airport.

It suits anyone flying from Stansted who'd rather not pay for a taxi or airport parking, and UK travellers landing at a secondary airport in Europe. Fares are shown in pounds as well as euros, and you can book on the website or in the app.

On the Stansted line you can pay by card, PayPal, Amazon Pay or cash online, but drivers only take cards on board. The app tracks your shuttle in real time, which is reassuring on an early-morning run to catch a flight. In Belgium there's also Door2Gate, a pre-booked service that picks you up from your address and drops you at Brussels or Charleroi airport. Be aware that the buses don't have wheelchair ramps, so check the accessibility page before booking if that matters to you.

What's worth a look

Six routes, with the lowest online fares shown on the Flibco site today.

The Stansted coach runs every 30 minutes, day and night, and takes around 50 minutes from Stratford. The new Munich to Memmingen line is worth knowing about if you're flying to Bavaria: tickets include three checked bags, and if you miss your bus you can take the next one.

For London, pick Liverpool Street if you're heading for the City or West End, and Finsbury Park for north London and the Piccadilly and Victoria lines. Redbridge is the quickest stop, at around 30 minutes to the airport.

Current offers

  • 15% off Munich to Memmingen Airport shuttles with the code NEW15FMM.
  • London to Stansted from £7.49 one way, with children aged 4 to 13 from £4.99 and under-4s free.
  • The Offers page lists the current lowest fare on every line.

How to save more

  • Book online ahead of time: the advertised fares are online prices, and drivers can only sell one-way tickets, subject to space.
  • Bring the family: children's fares are reduced and infants under four travel free with an adult on most lines.
  • If your plans change, cancel or amend up to a day before (six hours on the Munich line). The fare goes back to your Flibco account as credit for your next trip rather than being lost.
