StoneCare4U makes cleaners, sealers and paints for the hard surfaces around a home: patios, block paving, driveways, tarmac, roofs, brickwork, decking and indoor stone floors and worktops. Everything in its own range is made in the UK, and the products are sold in sizes from 500ml sprayers up to 25 litre drums, so it suits a homeowner doing a weekend patio job as well as a tradesperson buying in bulk. The brand began in the north of England in 2011 and the current company is based in Essex.

The site is easy to shop by surface (patio, driveway, roof, grout and so on) or by product type, and each product page has a coverage calculator that estimates how much you need from the area you enter. Labels are colour coded too: green for cleaners and blue for sealers.

What's worth a look

• Patio Perfect is the brand's patio cleaner for green growth and black lichen spots. It is currently from £34.95, and the site says 5 litres covers up to 50m² when diluted 1:1.
• All Stone Sealer Colour Boost is a sealer for natural stone that deepens its colour and leaves a stain-resistant coating. It is currently from £58.95, and a 100ml sample is available.
• Black Tarmac Sealer is a pigmented sealer that recolours faded tarmac and asphalt drives, currently from £38.95. The site gives coverage of up to 25m² per 5 litres per coat.
• Roof Cleaner is for clearing grime, algae and lichen from roof tiles. It is currently from £36.95.
• Indoors, the Worktop Rejuvenator is a 500ml spray for cleaning and shining stone kitchen worktops, currently £16.95.

How to save more

• Try a sample before buying a full 5 litres. Sealers can change how stone looks, so testing a small patch first is cheaper than buying the wrong finish.
• Use the coverage calculator on each product page. It helps you avoid ordering an extra 5 litre tub you don't need, or running short halfway through a job.
• For big areas, compare the 2 x 5 litre, 3 x 5 litre and 25 litre options on the product page against single 5 litre packs.

Returns are possible on unused products within two months of shipment, but you need written permission first, the original delivery charge is deducted and a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply, so it pays to get the product choice right first time.
