Rexing is an American brand that specialises in dash cams, and its own store now shows UK visitors prices in pounds. The range runs from simple front-facing cameras to front-and-rear pairs, three-channel systems that also film the cabin, and mirror dash cams that clip over your rear-view mirror and turn it into a 12-inch touchscreen. It suits drivers who want video evidence of what happens on the road, and taxi or ride-share drivers who want the inside of the car recorded too.

There's also a wide spread of car accessories, from hardwire kits for parking-mode recording and memory cards to jump starters and OBD2 scanners. A few lines, such as the Tesla and J1772 EV charging kit, are designed for the US, and Rexing's shipping and returns pages are mainly written for US customers, so check the delivery cost at checkout before you commit. Rexing promotes an 18-month warranty on its products and lists a UK office in Cambridge alongside its New Jersey base, though support by phone is US and Canada only; UK customers can use email or the online support form.

The V1-4K is the straightforward choice: a single 4K front camera with Wi-Fi and a 170-degree lens, now £77. If you want the rear covered too, the C2 records 2K at the front and 1080p at the back for the same price, with a 32GB card included. For a tidier install, the M2 is a mirror-style cam that streams the rear camera to its 12-inch touchscreen, adds blind-spot detection and includes a hardwire kit. At the top of the range, the R88 records 4K front and rear with Sony sensors and comes with a 128GB card and a hardwire kit.

How to save more

  • Make sure the prices are in pounds before you add anything to your basket. Rexing's site switches currency by location.
  • Count the extras: a C2 or V1P Flex X4 already includes a 32GB card, while parking mode usually needs a separate hardwire kit.
  • Keep your packaging. Returns must be posted within 60 days, and Rexing's prepaid return label only works in the US, so you'd pay to send anything back from the UK.
