About James Gin
James Gin is the gin brand of TV presenter James May. The idea came after he bought into his local pub, and he developed the recipes with master distiller Hugh Anderson at a small distillery in rural Wiltshire. The first batch of Asian Parsnip was made for the pub, and after May mentioned it online it sold out within days. Recipes are scaled up at Thames Distillers in London and bottled in Hampshire.
The range now covers Asian Parsnip, a 57% Navy Strength version of it, American Mustard, London Drizzle (made with beetroot, lovage and ginger to suggest rain on a warm pavement) and California Dreamgin'. Alongside full bottles there are 50ml miniatures, multi-bottle packs, cocktail kits, glassware, a cocktail book, T-shirts and gift cards, and the site's copy is written in the same dry tone as its founder.
The UK shop prices in pounds, with free UK delivery over £50 and £3.95 below that. Regional sites serve more than 30 other countries. The company is Asian Parsnip Ltd, registered in Bristol. Please drink responsibly.
