Christmas Letters from Santa does one thing: it sends children a letter from Father Christmas that mentions their name, age, home town and what they've been up to this year. It has been running since 2008 from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, operated by WRM Media Ltd, and says it has delivered more than 154,000 letters. It suits parents and grandparents who want a bit of post-box magic in December without writing and disguising a letter themselves.

You build the letter on the site by answering a short set of questions: where the child lives, where they'll be on Christmas Eve, what's on their list, a recent achievement (learning the piano, scoring at football) and the name of a brother, sister or best friend. The preview is free, so you can see exactly what Santa will say before you pay. Each letter is folded into a textured envelope addressed to the child and stamped "From the North Pole".

What's worth a look

There's one product, priced by how many letters you order.

A single personalised letter is £8.99, while four or more drop to £6.50 each, which makes a difference if you're doing it for cousins or a whole class of grandchildren. If several children share an address, the letters can travel together in one larger envelope so nobody gets theirs a day before their sibling. There are also add-on extras, such as a good-behaviour certificate, activity sheets and sticker sheets, chosen during checkout, plus a paid "Skip the Queue" option for earlier dispatch.

Ordering early doesn't mean the letter arrives early. Unless you pay for Skip the Queue, letters are printed, packed and stored, then posted by Royal Mail closer to Christmas. UK and European letters should arrive within about seven days of dispatch, and letters further afield within twelve. Standard post isn't tracked, but the site has an order status page. If a letter goes missing, email the team with your order date and reference and they'll try to send a replacement before Christmas.

Current offers

We don't have a code from our affiliate feed for Christmas Letters from Santa yet. The savings built into the site are:

  • Quantity pricing: £8.99 for one letter, £8.50 each for two, £7.99 each for three and £6.50 each for four or more.
  • Free delivery to anywhere in the world, sent by Royal Mail first class or the overseas equivalent.

How to save more

  • Club together with family or friends and put all the letters on one order to reach the £6.50 price.
  • Read the preview twice. Once an order goes to print, names and details can't be changed, and a reprint would mean paying again.
  • Skip the paid early-dispatch extra unless you need the letter before December. Standard UK letters are posted from mid-November, and the FAQ lists the last posting dates for each country.
