1pMobile is a UK pay-as-you-go network from Alton in Hampshire that's owned by the FTSE 250 group Telecom Plus. The name comes from its classic tariff: 1p a minute for calls to UK landlines and mobiles, 1p a text and 1p a MB of data, with no monthly fee. It suits light users, people who want a second line, or anyone tired of contracts. Its 30-day bundles cover heavier data users too.

There's no contract or credit check, and you can keep your number when you switch. The triple SIM fits standard, micro and nano slots, and eSIMs are free when you join. 1pMobile says its network covers 99% of the UK population on 2G, 4G and 5G. Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE and tethering are included. Your plan also works in 46 European destinations, with a 14GB cap on each Boost while roaming.

What's worth a look

Here are six plans from the 1pMobile site, at today's prices. All the 30-day bundles include unlimited UK calls and texts.

The 50GB bundle at £10 every 30 days is likely to suit most smartphone users. If you hardly use your phone, the classic 1p PAYG SIM costs £5 and arrives with £10 of credit. On the PAYG tariff, any credit you add lasts as long as your account is active.

Households can save with the Unlimited plan. The first SIM is £25 every 30 days, and each extra linked SIM is £12.50, so four SIMs cost £62.50 in total. If you'd rather pay once, the one-year plans run from £48 for 500MB a month to £275 for unlimited data, all with unlimited UK calls and texts.

Current offers

Our current 1pMobile codes are all free extras: data boosts of 2GB, 10GB, 25GB and 50GB, and a free £5 top-up. Check each code's terms before you order. On the 1pMobile site itself:

  • The PAYG SIM is £5 instead of £10, and comes loaded with £10 of credit.
  • Extra SIMs on the Unlimited family deal are half price, at £12.50 each every 30 days.
  • Refer a friend and you each get a £5 top-up once they join.
  • New customers get a 14-day money-back guarantee.

How to save more

  • Check the Special discounts page before you sign up. Students and graduates can claim through Student Beans. Teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, charity workers and the military can use BeansiD, and there are also Blue Light Card and Purpl discounts.
  • Bundles are 30-day rolling plans, so you can move up or down a size each month instead of paying for data you don't use.
  • Watch your data on bundle plans. Extra data is charged at 1p per MB, and your balance is topped up by £10 automatically when it drops below £2, so buying a Boost is usually cheaper.
