BRoadout is an online camping shop based in Spokane, Washington, that sells gear direct from the manufacturers behind brands such as KingCamp, ATEPA, FUNDANGO and Cook'n'Escape. It covers almost everything for a camping trip: inflatable SUV tents and canvas bell tents, sleeping bags and pads, camp beds, chairs, tables, wagons, stoves and cookware. Prices are in US dollars by default, but the country selector includes the United Kingdom with prices in pounds. Its shipping policy is written for US customers and says international orders sit outside its usual delivery times and free shipping offers, so if you're in the UK, check the delivery cost at checkout before you commit.

It suits car campers, families who like a comfortable pitch and anyone kitting out a first camping setup who wants plenty of choice in one place.

What's worth a look

Here are six picks from the current range, with the US-dollar prices shown on the site today.

The headline piece is the KingCamp BOUNDLESS AIR3 Inflatable SUV Tent, an inflatable tent that attaches to the back of an SUV. For evenings around camp, the KingCamp Smokeless Fire Pit folds down into a carry bag and has a stainless steel grill rack.

Sleep is where the range goes deepest. Sleeping pads are sorted by R-value, from summer pads up to winter pads rated 5.5 and above, and there are self-inflating pads, air mattress bases, cots and double sleeping bags. The bundles are worth a look if you're starting from scratch: one pairs an elevated air bed base with a matching pad, and another puts an ATEPA Coldmaster sleeping bag with an ultralight pad. If you want a proper base camp, the KingCamp KHAN canvas tents sit at the top of the range at well over $1,000 each.

Most products come with a one-year warranty against defects, and unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Customer service is by email, with a promised reply within 48 hours.
