About Travis Perkins
Travis Perkins is a builders' merchant selling timber and sheet materials, bricks, blocks and aggregates, plasterboard and insulation, doors and joinery, plumbing and heating, landscaping and fencing, paint and decorating supplies, power tools and workwear. It also runs tool and equipment hire and Benchmarx Kitchens showrooms. It is aimed at trade professionals, but anyone can buy online at retail prices, which makes it useful for self-builders and DIYers tackling bigger jobs.
The business can trace its roots to a London firm of joiners and carpenters founded in 1797. Travis Perkins in its current form was created in 1988 by the merger of Sandell Perkins and Travis & Arnold, and it is part of Travis Perkins plc, a London-listed group with head offices in Northampton. The merchant operates more than 500 branches across Great Britain.
You can order online, on the TP App (for account holders) or in a branch. Non-account customers pay £30 delivery on orders under £150 and nothing above that; trade account holders get free branch delivery over £100. Free click and collect is usually ready within an hour if the item is in stock. Resellable items can be returned within 14 days, with a collection charge of at least 15% of the order value. Trade customers can open a pay-as-you-go cash account or a credit account.
