FaceReady is a desktop app for Mac and Windows, made by Trucode Ltd, a London company. It sits between your webcam and your video apps and shows up as just another camera. In Zoom, Teams, Meet, Slack, Discord, OBS or FaceTime, you pick FaceReady instead of your normal webcam, and it softens signs of age in your picture live, such as greys, tired eyes and dull skin, while still looking like you.

It's aimed at people who spend a lot of the day on camera, from remote workers and job hunters to coaches and salespeople. Everything is processed on your own computer, using Apple Silicon or a Windows graphics card. Nothing is uploaded and there's no account storing your face. Windows users can also get it from the Microsoft Store.

What's worth a look

It's software, so there are just two plans to choose from, and both include every feature.

FaceReady MonthlyBilled monthly; cancel any time from the app.$19.99View at FaceReady FaceReady YearlyBilled yearly, works out at $9.99 a month.$119.88View at FaceReady

Both plans remove the trial watermark and include every look and setting. They cover up to two computers, Mac or Windows, and include updates for as long as you subscribe. The yearly plan works out at $9.99 a month, half the monthly price.

Setting it up is simple. You install the app, confirm your email address so your subscription can move between computers, then pick FaceReady as the camera in your video app. You can adjust how strong the effect is with sliders. The help centre covers common problems, such as the camera not showing up in Zoom or Teams, using it with OBS and checking the minimum system requirements. There's no mobile app, so it's for laptops and desktops only. It works with your existing webcam, so you don't need to buy any extra hardware.

FaceReady launched in July 2026, and the company says there have been ten releases across Mac and Windows since then, all included in the subscription.
