METRO BRAZIL sells Brazilian-made shapewear to women across the Gulf, and calls itself the first Brazilian shapewear store in the Middle East. It runs English and Arabic sites for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, plus an international site, and has a shop in Red Sea Mall in Jeddah. The range covers bodysuits, waist corsets, bermuda-style shorts, capri shapers, bras, pantyhose, leggings and sportswear, with a plus-size section.

Prices are shown in Saudi riyals (SAR) on every version of the site, including the international one. It mainly serves shoppers in the Gulf. UK buyers can order, but delivery is priced at checkout and orders from outside the GCC are final sale, so it suits people who already know their size.

The site has a size guide on each product page and a Smart Fitting Room tool to help you choose. Pieces come in a range of shades, and there's a dedicated plus-size section as well as leggings, sportswear and pantyhose. The Seamless Shape Sculpting and Back Support Body is a good place to start if you want a smooth layer under fitted dresses, while the Slim Compression Waist Sculpting Invisible Bermuda covers the waist and thighs for wearing under longer outfits and abayas. To keep shapewear in good condition, the store recommends hand washing in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, pressing out the water rather than wringing, and drying away from direct sun.
