MUNICH is a family-run Spanish shoe brand that started in a small workshop near Barcelona in 1939. It made its name with football and futsal boots, registered the X logo that still sits on the side of every pair in 1966, and is now run by the third generation of the Berneda family from Capellades in Catalonia. Today the range runs from indoor football, handball and padel shoes to retro street trainers, kids' shoes, bags and clothing. It suits anyone who plays five-a-side or futsal, and anyone who likes trainers that look a bit different from the usual big brands. Many of the sports shoes come in bright colours, while the fashion lines lean towards white, silver and metallic finishes.

The official store has an English version with a United Kingdom setting. Prices are in euros, though, and orders ship from Spain, so read the delivery notes below before you order.

The GRESCA 2.0 at €95 is a newer version of the futsal shoe MUNICH launched in 1986, which professional players still wear. It has a gum sole designed for indoor courts. For everyday wear, the Sapporo 206 (€129) is a white and silver retro street trainer, while the M39 at €70 is a futsal-inspired urban trainer in silver. Delivery and returns for UK orders

International delivery costs between €9.95 and €49.95 depending on the destination, and orders go with UPS or GLS. Allow around 7 to 10 working days. Because the UK is outside the EU, MUNICH says customs charges and taxes on non-EU orders are paid by the customer, so you may have a bill to pay before the parcel is handed over. The free delivery banner on the site only covers mainland Spain and Portugal. You can return items within 30 days of receiving them through the returns portal in your account.
