About MUNICH
MUNICH is a Spanish footwear brand with roots going back to 1939, when the Berneda family started making sports shoes in a small workshop near Barcelona. The company became known for football and futsal boots, registered its famous X logo in the 1960s, and launched the GOAL trainer in 1980. Its GRESCA futsal shoe, first released in 1986, is still worn by professional players today. The business is still run by the founding family, now in its third generation, from its headquarters in Capellades, Catalonia.
Since the early 2000s MUNICH has moved into fashion and streetwear, so the range now runs from indoor football, handball, padel and field hockey shoes to retro tennis styles, chunky street trainers, barefoot shoes, kids' trainers, flip-flops, bags and clothing. Many of the sports models come in bright colourways with the X on the side, while the fashion lines lean towards silver, white and metallic finishes.
The official online store has an English version and a United Kingdom country setting, but prices are in euros and orders ship from Spain. International delivery costs between €9.95 and €49.95 depending on the destination, and as the UK is outside the EU, customers may have to pay customs charges and taxes on arrival. There's a year-round outlet section with reductions on past-season styles.
