Tapfiliate is software that lets a business run its own affiliate, referral or influencer programme. It tracks the clicks, sales and coupon codes your partners bring in, works out their commission and gives them a portal with their links and stats. It's aimed at ecommerce shops, SaaS companies and subscription services rather than shoppers, so this one is for small business owners and marketers who are thinking of paying people to promote their products.

The service is run by Tapfiliate B.V. in the Netherlands and is part of Mitgo, an online advertising group. Prices are in US dollars, and every plan starts with a free trial.

Commission set-ups are flexible. You can pay a percentage or a fixed amount, set tiers, pay recurring commission on subscriptions or lifetime commission for your best partners, and track sales through links or coupon codes, which is handy for influencers whose followers never click a link. You can invite partners with branded links, and there's a marketplace where active affiliates can find programmes to join. Bulk actions let you approve affiliates, change commission rates or send payouts to many partners at once.

The Launch plan covers the basics: more than 30 ready-made integrations, real-time reporting, recurring commissions, coupon tracking and bulk actions. Scale adds unlimited affiliates and programmes, multi-level commissions, product feeds, deep links and automated payouts. If you sell through Shopify or take payments with Stripe, the Shopify and Stripe integrations connect in a few clicks, which saves you adding tracking code by hand. Newer still is an MCP connection that lets you ask questions about your programme data through AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT. Enterprise adds a full white label and a dedicated manager, with pricing on request.

Current offers

• Two months free: paying annually brings Launch down to $890 a year and Scale to $1,790 a year, which Tapfiliate describes as two months free.
• Affiliate programme: if you write about marketing tools, you can earn commission by promoting Tapfiliate itself.

How to save more

• Set a reminder a day or two before your trial ends, as billing starts automatically.
• Start on Launch monthly, and switch to annual billing once you know the programme is paying its way.
• Check which features you need before choosing: unlimited affiliates, multi-level commissions and automated payouts are on Scale, not Launch.
• If it isn't right, the terms give you 14 days from your first payment to cancel and get that payment back.
