About The Curious Drinker
The Curious Drinker is the new name, from 2026, for Craft Gin Club, the gin subscription club started by business school friends Jon Hulme and John Burke. They came up with the idea in 2015, and in 2016 took investment from Sarah Willingham after pitching on BBC's Dragons' Den. The team and producers stayed the same through the rebrand, and existing Craft Gin Club members kept their accounts and subscriptions.
The club is still at the heart of it: a monthly box built around a craft spirit, mostly from independent and small-batch distillers, with mixers, garnishes, snacks, cocktail recipes and a magazine. There are gin and rum boxes, including full 70cl bottle boxes and smaller taster boxes, and you can skip, swap or cancel online. The shop also sells one-off bottles of gin, rum, tequila, vodka and liqueurs, alcohol-free spirits, cocktail sets, canned cocktails, mixers, syrups, advent calendars, gift memberships and personalised gin and rum.
The company behind it is Craft Clubs Limited, registered in England and Wales in 2015. It delivers within the UK, including the Channel Islands and Scottish Highlands, with prices in pounds. Its products are for over-18s only.
