EMP started out in 1986 as a mail-order business for heavy metal fans in Germany, and it's now one of Europe's biggest shops for rock and pop-culture merchandise. The UK site sells in pounds and covers official band merch, film, TV and gaming fandom, and a big range of alternative clothing. It suits metal and rock fans, goths, anime and gaming fans, and anyone hunting for a gift for someone who lives in band T-shirts.

As well as merch for bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and Linkin Park, EMP has its own labels, such as Gothicana by EMP and Rock Rebel by EMP. It also stocks brands like Dr. Martens, Vans and Hell Bunny, and many lines come in plus sizes.

For Christmas, the EMP-exclusive Snoopy knitted jumper is £45.99, and there's a Back To The Future Delorean Christmas jumper from £54.99. If you're more into Halloween, the Halloween shop has Gothicana's Countess Collection, inspired by the legend of Elisabeth Báthory. Its Countess Bathory boots are down from £103.99 to £78.19. Collectors can browse the Funko Pop! range.

Delivery, returns and paying

Orders ship from Germany and Royal Mail delivers them in the UK, usually within 5 to 10 working days. Delivery costs a flat £5.49. Returns are free within 30 days of delivery through EMP's returns portal, although masks, some jewellery and underwear can't go back for hygiene reasons. You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Klarna. If you use pay-later credit, make sure you can afford the repayments.

Current offers

Until 13 October 2026, code 15OFF takes an extra 15% off orders of £59.99 or more. Books, media, tickets, vouchers and a list of bands (including Rammstein) are excluded, and it can't be combined with other codes. The Sale section also has thousands of reduced lines, from T-shirts and jackets to homeware and vinyl, and new subscribers to the newsletter get a 15% off code for their next order.

How to save more

• Think about the Backstage Club if you order more than once or twice a year. It's free for 30 days, then £9.95 a year, and gives you free delivery on every order (normally £5.49), 100 days to return items and member-only offers.
• Check whether you qualify for 15% off. Blue Light Card holders and the Armed Forces (through the Defence Discount Service) can get it on orders over £40, and students and young people can get it through YouthID.
• Order early for Christmas. Parcels come from Germany, so allow up to two weeks.
