GOM Lab is the software brand of GOM & Company, based in Seoul, South Korea. Many people know it for GOM Player, a free media player for Windows and Mac that handles more than 100 video and audio formats and can fetch subtitles for you. Alongside it, GOM Lab sells paid programs for editing video, recording your screen and editing images, several of them with AI features such as automatic subtitles and upscaling.

It suits home video editors, people making tutorials or social media clips, and anyone who'd rather buy software once than pay a monthly subscription. GOM Lab's English-language site prices everything in US dollars, with VAT included, and it's all delivered as a download, so it works the same for UK buyers. Your card provider may add a foreign transaction fee.

The other programs are more specialised. GOM Cam records your screen in up to 4K, with scheduled recording and a quick edit mode, which is useful for tutorials and online lessons. GOM Pic is an image editor with templates sized for social media and AI tools that create and edit images. GOM Player+ adds 4K playback, a 360-degree VR mode and AI subtitles to the free player.
