Personalised photo cards and family calendars are an easy Christmas win, but the price of much the same thing varies hugely between sites. Twenty cards can cost under £10 delivered at one and far more at another, depending on how they're sold, how they're posted and which sale is running.

We've compared four of the best-known names, Snapfish, Photobox, Vistaprint and Moonpig, using prices on their own websites on 13 October 2026. Sales on photo sites come and go weekly, so treat these as a snapshot.

The easiest way to send a few cards straight to the people they're for, but no photo calendars and the dearest cards per card.

Christmas cards: price per card

  • Snapfish: 7x5in flat cards are 29p each in the current sale (65p normally), sold in sets of 20 with matching envelopes. Folded cards are from £1.80 each in the sale (£3.99 normally) and you can order just one. Its homepage lists 55% off cards with the code CS1026.
  • Photobox: Christmas cards come in packs of ten with envelopes, from £9.99 a pack, so about £1 a card, with some designs at £11.99 or £15.99.
  • Vistaprint: Christmas cards are listed from 75p a card, with one envelope included per card. The final price depends on the options you choose.
  • Moonpig: cards are sold one at a time: a standard card is £3.99, a large card £6.99, a giant card £9.99 and an eCard 99p. Its Christmas card pages offer 30% off two or more standard cards with the code 30OFF2, and say that five or more cards in your basket are half price, applied automatically.

Roughly what 20 cards would cost at today's prices:

  • Snapfish: one set of 20 flat cards at 29p is £5.80, plus delivery from £2.69, so about £8.49.
  • Photobox: two packs of ten from £9.99 is £19.98, plus £3.99 standard delivery and £1 for the second item, so about £24.97.
  • Vistaprint: 20 cards from 75p is £15, plus £4.99 for economy delivery, so from about £19.99.
  • Moonpig: 20 standard cards at £3.99 is £79.80, or £39.90 with half off five or more. Postage is extra: £1.90 a card First Class.

Photo calendars

Moonpig doesn't list photo calendars on its UK site, so this part is a three-way race.

  • Snapfish: classic wall calendars are from £12.49 in the sale (£24.99 normally) and desk calendars from £9.99. The homepage lists 50% off calendars with the code CALS1026.
  • Photobox: an A4 wall calendar is £23.99, and is currently showing from £11.99 with 50% off. You can start the calendar in any month, and there's an automatic bulk discount if you order several copies.
  • Vistaprint: wall calendars come in A5, A4, A3 and two double sizes, plus desk, poster and magnet calendars. We couldn't see calendar prices, which only appear once you pick options.

Delivery costs and speed

  • Snapfish: standard delivery is from £2.69 for cards and calendars. Cards take about three days with one production day; calendars take about five days and need three production days.
  • Photobox: standard delivery is £3.99 for cards or a calendar, Fast Tracked £4.99 for cards or £5.49 for calendars, and Express £5.99 or £6.99. Each extra item to the same address adds £1 or more. Production runs Monday to Friday only.
  • Vistaprint: standard delivery is £5.99 on orders under £55 and free above that, and economy delivery (ten working days) is £4.99 and free from £35, according to its delivery page.
  • Moonpig: First Class postage is £1.90 a card, Royal Mail Tracked for cards is from £2.79, and large cards cost £3.99 tracked.

None of the four had published its 2026 Christmas last order dates when we checked. Snapfish shows a "final call for Christmas delivery" banner without dates. Calendars take longer to make than cards, so don't leave them late.

Where each wins and falls short

  • Snapfish is the cheapest for a long card list and for calendars, but its sale prices are roughly half the normal price, so ordering between sales could cost you double.
  • Photobox sells cards in sensible packs of ten with envelopes and has flexible calendars and bulk discounts, but at about £1 a card it isn't the cheapest, and its delivery charges add up on several items.
  • Vistaprint is competitive on card price and has the widest range of calendar formats, but delivery is the dearest of the four on small orders unless you can reach the free thresholds.
  • Moonpig is the most convenient for a few cards, especially if you want them posted straight to the recipient, but it doesn't do photo calendars and the per-card price is the highest even with half off.

We tried to include Boots Photo, but the Boots website didn't show us its photo prices, so we've left it out rather than guess.

Your questions answered

Are envelopes included with photo Christmas cards?

Yes at all three of the pack sellers: Snapfish flat card sets come with matching envelopes, Photobox packs of ten include envelopes, and Vistaprint includes one envelope per card. Moonpig posts each card in its own envelope.

Is it cheaper to send a few cards through Moonpig?

For two or three cards, it can be simpler. You pay £3.99 a card plus £1.90 First Class postage, with 30% off two or more standard cards using 30OFF2, and you don't have to buy a full pack. For 20 cards, a pack from Snapfish, Photobox or Vistaprint plus your own stamps will usually cost less.

Is Moonpig Plus worth it at Christmas?

Moonpig Plus costs £10.99 a year, gives at least 30% off cards, and your first card and postage are free. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel. If you send ten or more Moonpig cards a year, it's likely to pay for itself.

Ways to save

Don't pay full price at Snapfish or Photobox: both run frequent sales, and Snapfish's homepage was listing codes for 55% off cards and 50% off calendars this week. Photobox gives £5 off your next order if you sign up to its newsletter. Vistaprint's offers page lists VISTA50 for up to 50% off a first order until 31 January 2027, and PROMO15 for £5 off £40 or £10 off £70 until 1 November 2026, though codes can't be combined. At Moonpig, add five or more Christmas cards for half price, or check our Moonpig voucher codes. If you'd rather print with Boots, see our Boots Photo voucher codes.
