Premier Inn deals this week: up to 10% off beds, Meal Deals from £27.99 and kids stay free

Shopping at Premier Inn? See all current Premier Inn discount codes and deals, checked regularly.

This autumn, Premier Inn is taking up to 10% off the mattresses and beds its guests sleep on, with free next-day delivery. Its room prices move with demand rather than through discount codes, so the other savings worth knowing about are standing offers: cheaper rates for booking early, free stays and breakfasts for children, and bundled meals. We've checked premierinn.com and picked six.

At a glance

1. 10% off Premier Inn mattresses and beds, with free next-day delivery

On the Premier Inn at Home shop, the autumn offer takes up to 10% off mattresses and beds:

• Premier Inn Mattress (made by Silentnight): now from £584, was from £649
• Divan beds: now from £269, were from £299
• Upholstered bed frames: now from £685, were from £739, a smaller saving of about 7%

It suits anyone already shopping for a new mattress who liked sleeping at a Premier Inn.

Tip: Order a mattress before 2:30pm for delivery the next working day. If you need your old one taken away, recycling starts from £30.

2. Meal Deal: dinner, a drink and breakfast from £27.99

The Meal Deal bundles a two-course dinner (a main plus a starter or a dessert), a selected drink and the next morning's unlimited Premier Inn Breakfast, from £27.99. Premier Inn says it saves up to 30%, and you can add a third course for £2. Prices vary by restaurant, and you'll see yours when you book.

It suits anyone arriving in the evening who'd rather not go looking for somewhere to eat.

Tip: Both meals are on one voucher and can't be split, so only add it if you'll eat dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Some dishes carry a supplement.

3. Kids stay and eat breakfast free

Up to two children stay free with a full-paying adult, subject to availability. When an adult orders a full Premier Inn Breakfast (from £10.99) or a Meal Deal, up to two under-16s eat breakfast free. Family rooms have a king-size bed plus two pull-out or sofa beds, and travel cots are free.

It suits families planning half-term or a weekend away.

Tip: Book one family room rather than two rooms, and bring your own baby mattress and bedding for the cot.

4. Advance and Semi-Flex rates: save by fixing your dates

Premier Inn says its lowest prices are usually for rooms booked well in advance. The Advance rate is paid when you book but is fully refundable up to 28 full days before arrival, and Semi-Flex is refundable up to three full days before. Both let you change your check-in date at the same hotel until 1pm on arrival day, though the new date may cost more.

It suits anyone booking a trip for a set date, such as a Christmas market weekend or a concert.

Tip: Premier Inn says Friday and Sunday nights are often its cheapest, and hotels outside city centres can be better value.

5. ZIP by Premier Inn from £25 a night

ZIP is Premier Inn's no-frills format, with small rooms from £25 a night. The first one is open in Cardiff. Rooms have a TV and a small bathroom with a power shower, there's free Wi-Fi throughout, and breakfast is £4.50.

It suits solo travellers and anyone who needs a cheap bed for a night in Cardiff.

Tip: Rooms are allocated at random, and some have a lightbox instead of a window. Rooms are cleaned every three days, or daily for £10 a day.

6. Up to 15% off the Flex rate with Premier Inn Business

Premier Inn Business is a free online booking tool that gives businesses of any size a guaranteed 5%, and up to 15%, off the Flex rate from the first stay. Flex is the most flexible rate, refundable until 1pm on the day of arrival.

It suits sole traders, small firms and anyone who books work trips.

Tip: It's for business travel only, so it won't help with a family break, but it's free to sign up.

How to save more at Premier Inn

• Book early: the cheapest rooms are usually gone close to the date.
• Try nights either side: avoiding big event dates and checking a few nights either side can bring the price down.
• Bundle bedding: Premier Inn at Home takes 10% off when you buy a Bedding Bundle of pillows and a duvet. Its pillows are £36 for a pair.
• Skip extras you don't need: Wi-Fi is free in every hotel, so only pay £6 for Ultimate Wi-Fi if you need to stream or download a lot.
