Amaranté London is a florist based in Stratford, east London, best known for its preserved Infinity Roses: real roses treated to keep their colour and shape, then arranged in suede or matte hatboxes and square boxes. The business began in the bedroom of founder Kay Seehra, who developed the preservation method with a Fairtrade farm in Ecuador. It also sells fresh bouquets, potted plants, vases and gift cards, and handles flowers for weddings, corporate events and hotels.

It suits anyone looking for an anniversary, birthday or thank-you gift that lasts longer than a standard bunch, as well as people who want a fresh bouquet delivered anywhere in the UK.

Each rose box is handmade to order in London rather than shipped from a warehouse, and the brand says its preserved roses are designed to keep their look for around a year. That makes them a practical choice if the person you're sending to is often away, or simply doesn't want to deal with wilting stems a week later. If you need something specific, such as a particular colour scheme or a larger arrangement, there's also a bespoke order option.

What's worth a look

• Small Black Square Matte Rose Box: the entry point to the Infinity Rose range, currently £75. Small white square and round versions are the same price.
• Medium Pink Round Suede Rose Box: a larger hatbox-style arrangement, currently £150, also available in black, grey, beige and royal blue.
• Florist Choice Bouquet: a fresh bouquet put together from the day's stems, currently from £55.
• Eden Fresh Flower Bouquet: one of the named fresh bouquets, currently from £90.
• Pink Phalaenopsis Orchid: a potted indoor plant, currently £60.

The Infinity Roses collection goes all the way up to boxes holding well over 100 roses, so it's worth filtering by size before you browse. Prices can change.
