Babubas is an online department store that began in Denmark in 2022 and now sells in several European countries, including the UK through uk.babubas.com. The UK site is run by Distribuidora Europisdiets SL in Madrid. It stocks a broad mix of branded everyday goods: fragrances and toiletries, hair and dental care, watches, toys and baby products, kitchen and cleaning kit, garden tools, and phone and computer accessories.

The thing to understand before you shop is the pricing. Every product shows a Normal Price and a lower Babubas Price for members. Membership costs £12.95 a month including VAT and carries on automatically until you cancel, with the first 14 days free. You do not have to join: on the product page you can choose to continue without benefits and pay the normal price instead.

What's worth a look

• Casio Unisex White Resin Analog Watch MQ-24B-7BEF: currently £24.99 normal price, or £20.99 for members (prices can change). A simple, light analogue watch.
• Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Unisex Eau de Parfum, 60ml: currently £13.05, or £12.89 for members. Babubas carries a sizeable range of Middle Eastern fragrance houses, including Lattafa, Ajmal and Swiss Arabian.
• Arabiyat Sugar Toffee Ganache Unisex Eau de Parfum, 100ml: currently £19.99, or £14.99 for members.
• Nivea Dry Active Deodorant Roll-On, 50ml: currently £5.99, or £4.98 for members.
• Mole Liquid Drain Opener Gel, 500ml: currently £2.49, or £1.78 for members, from the household cleaning range.

Some product names and pages still carry Danish wording, a reminder that the catalogue is shared across Babubas's European sites. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or American Express with no card fees, and VAT is included in the prices shown. Card payment is taken when your order leaves the warehouse.

How to save more

• Do the maths first. On a small basket the difference between normal and member prices may be a pound or two, far less than the £12.95 monthly fee, so continuing without membership is often cheaper.
• If you take the free trial for a bigger order, cancel within 14 days through My account, then My membership, or by emailing [email protected], unless you want to keep paying.
• Postage to the UK is £2.99 by Royal Mail for parcels under 2kg and £7.95 by DPD above that, so lighter orders are cheaper to send.
