BTR Sports: hi-vis cycling and running kit built for British weather

BTR Sports is the shop of BTR Direct Ltd, a small British business in Littlehampton, West Sussex, that has been trading since 2006. BTR stands for Bike, Train, Run, and the range is about being seen and staying dry on dark, wet roads. It suits commuters on bikes, early-morning or after-work runners and anyone who walks the dog along unlit lanes.

Most of the range is reflective or fluorescent clothing and covers, plus a sensible selection of bike accessories. Prices are modest, and delivery and returns are free across the UK. A lot of the kit is waterproof as well as reflective, and the jackets and gilets come in men's and women's cuts, so it's worth checking the size guide on each page before you order.

What's worth a look

• Reflective high-visibility jacket: a silver reflective jacket for cycling and running, currently £34.99 to £44.99 depending on size. There's also a women's version, currently £34.99 to £39.99.
• Hi-vis reflective gilet with pockets: a lighter layer for warmer evenings, currently £19.99.
• Waterproof hi-vis helmet cover: slips over a cycle helmet to keep the rain out and add a reflective strip, currently £9.99, or £14.99 for a two-pack.
• USB rechargeable bike light set: front and rear lights with a battery indicator, currently £14.99.
• Extra-large heavy-duty bike cover: a waterproof cover for one or two bikes stored outside, currently £44.99.
