Cadbury Gifts Direct: hampers, personalised bars and advent calendars

Cadbury Gifts Direct is where Cadbury sells its chocolate as gifts. It is run under licence by Hemingways Marketing Services, a family business in Ripon, North Yorkshire, which packs orders at its own warehouse. Alongside the familiar bars you will find hampers, gift boxes, personalised selection boxes and seasonal ranges for Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Mother's Day.

It suits anyone who needs a gift that can be posted straight to someone's door: birthdays, thank-yous to teachers or colleagues, and Secret Santa. Many products can be personalised with a name, message or photo, and there is a Shop by Budget menu with sections under £5, £10 and £20.

Chocolate and hot weather don't mix, and the shop takes that seriously. In very warm spells it may hold standard deliveries in its temperature-controlled warehouse until things cool down, and next-day delivery on personalised chocolate is paused. For gifts that need to arrive on a certain date, order a little earlier in the summer months. Some hampers include wine, beer or champagne, so check the description if you are buying for someone under 18.
