FLOWERFIX: letterbox bouquets, pet-safe flowers and roses by post

FLOWERFIX is an online florist that posts fresh flowers across the UK. Its signature format is the letterbox bouquet: a slim box that fits through most front doors, so the person you're sending to doesn't have to be home to sign for it. If you'd like something bigger, most bunches also come as a hand-tied bouquet, and there are rose bunches, seasonal peonies, vases, pots and a monthly flower club.

The business grew out of LK Verdant, a florist its founder started in 2016, and the letterbox range has grown from one bunch to more than 30. One thing that sets it apart is the pet-safe range. Each suitable bouquet is labelled on its product page, which is handy if you're sending flowers to someone with a cat or dog. It suits anyone who wants to send flowers by post for a birthday, a thank you or just because, and anyone who likes having fresh flowers at home on a regular basis.

What's worth a look

• Baby's Breath, currently from £29 in the letterbox size. A cloud of gypsophila in several colour mixes, including just white and pink with purple.
• Our Florist's Pick - Pet Friendly, currently from £34. The florist chooses the flowers, sticking to stems that are safe around pets.
• Pearl Avalanche Roses, currently £43 for 10 stems. Blush pink roses with a peachy centre, in 55cm stems and a pink gift box, with a 20-stem option too.
• The I Love You Bunch, currently £30 (was £45). Five red roses with foliage in the letterbox size, or ten as a hand-tied bouquet.
• Flower Club, currently £49 per delivery. A flexible subscription of seasonal flowers sent monthly or every two weeks, with a pet-friendly option.

Current offers

• 5% off your first order when you sign up to the FLOWERFIX newsletter.
• Free UK tracked delivery on fresh flowers over £29. Guaranteed delivery by 1pm is available from £7.99.
• The I Love You Bunch is reduced to £30 from £45, saving £15.
• Members of the rewards scheme get 5% cashback on every purchase.

Before ordering, check the delivery page. Flowers are cut to order, so for a set delivery day you need to order by 10pm two days before, or by noon the day before for next-day. FLOWERFIX doesn't deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or some Highland and island postcodes. Deliveries to hospitals are at your own risk, because patients often move between wards.

How to save more

• Pick the letterbox size rather than hand-tied. It's the lower-priced way to send the same flowers, and it still qualifies for free delivery once you're over £29.
• Browse the Flowers under £30 collection if you're on a budget, and check the sale price on each product page.
• Join the rewards scheme before you order so the 5% cashback builds up for your next bunch.
