Iceland began in 1970 as a single frozen food shop in Oswestry and now has more than 970 stores across the UK, run from its head office in Deeside, North Wales. Frozen food is still the heart of it, but you'll also find fresh, chilled and cupboard groceries. There's a long list of restaurant and brand tie-ins too, from Greggs bakes to TGI Fridays meals. It suits busy households and families who like having freezer meals ready, and anyone who wants delivery without paying for a delivery pass.

You can shop in store or online. Online orders start at £25 and next-day delivery is free over £40. Same Day slots arrive within two hours, and Rapid delivery from your local store can take as little as 30 minutes.

What's worth a look

Here are six freezer favourites from the current range, with the multibuys running when we looked.

Greggs 4 sausage rolls are £3.50 and currently part of a 3 for £10 mix and match. Harry Ramsden's triple cooked beef dripping chips are also £3.50. For a restaurant-style night in, the TGI Fridays Cajun chicken pasta with chorizo is £4.50 and one of many meals on 2 for £8. Las Iguanas nacho cheese chicken bites are £3, and half price as an online exclusive at the time of writing. For party platters, Cathedral City's nine mini quiches are £4.50, and the Grill House doner kebab meat at £4 makes an easy fakeaway. The exclusive brands page lists the full set of restaurant and brand tie-ins you won't find in other supermarkets' freezers.

  • Shopping in store? Spend £40 and scan the Bonus Club app at the till to book free home delivery the same day.
