Outdoorcanvas.co.uk makes printed canvases for outside: big, weatherproof pictures that brighten up a fence, a shed or a bare brick garden wall. It's the UK site of Dtp Studio Schuurman, a Dutch business in Harderwijk that has made outdoor canvases since 2004, and its work has appeared on ITV's Love Your Garden.

It suits anyone with a dull corner of the garden they'd like to change without building work. Everything is made to measure, to the centimetre, so a canvas can fit an awkward space exactly. You choose from a library of thousands of photos, such as trompe l'oeil doorways and windows, lavender fields, beaches, Japanese gardens and animals, or upload your own photo. The canvas is non-reflective and washable, with a three-year colour guarantee.

The price depends on the size and how you want to hang it, and the calculator on each picture updates as you type in the measurements. Canvases with eyelets can go up to 10 metres wide and 4 metres high, and framed versions up to 5 metres by 170cm, so even a long fence can be covered in one piece. Each supplied photo is checked for suitability before printing.

The company is based in the Netherlands and ships to the UK for a flat £14.95. Payment is by card, bank transfer, Google Pay or Apple Pay. Because every canvas is made to order, it can't be returned under the usual cooling-off rules, so it's worth taking care over the measurements.

What's worth a look

The main choice after the picture is the hanging system. These are six of them, with the prices the site's calculator gave on 12 October 2026 for a 100 x 70cm canvas of one of its lavender-field photos, before any discount.

If you're happy to fix it yourself, the stainless steel eyelets version is the simple, cheaper option: eyelets every 50cm or so on all sides, ready to tie or screw to a wall or fence. For something that looks more like a framed picture, the floating canvas sits inside a visible wooden frame.

How to save more

• Try different sizes in the calculator. Going a little smaller can cut the price noticeably, especially with framed options.
• Shipping is a flat £14.95, so ordering two canvases at once spreads the cost.
• Measure twice: made-to-measure canvases can't be cancelled once production starts.
• Use your own photo if you have a favourite view or holiday picture: the price is worked out the same way, and the team checks the photo is good enough to print.
