Priceino Holiday is a small accommodation booking site run by Ulixar Commerce Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. It's part of the Priceino family of sites. For now, every listing is in one place: a group of self-catering apartments at Kiristalşehir in Istanbul, run by a local operator, Kiristalşehir / D Royal.

It suits families, groups of friends and business travellers who'd rather have a kitchen and living space than a hotel room. Each apartment has its own page with around 20 of the property's own photographs and a video tour, plus honest notes about what the photos do and don't show.

What's worth a look

• Apartment 12-210: a 2+1 apartment with a sea view, air conditioning, a microwave and space for up to five guests.
• Apartment 9-248: an air-conditioned 3+1 apartment opposite the Tüyap Istanbul exhibition centre, useful for trade-show visitors, sleeping up to six.
• Apartment 11-8: a newer, spacious 3+1 apartment for families or groups of up to six.
• The Istanbul page lists all eight apartments so you can filter by group size.

Prices aren't fixed per listing. Each apartment has a nightly reference rate in US dollars plus a cleaning charge per stay, and you see a full checkout total, in pounds if you choose, once you enter your dates and number of guests. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00, Istanbul time.

The site is upfront about what it does and doesn't know. It doesn't publish guest reviews it hasn't verified, it says when a photo shows shared grounds rather than the apartment itself, and it explains that browsing or sending an enquiry doesn't hold your dates. Dates are only held for a short time during checkout, so a booking isn't confirmed until you've paid and received a reservation reference.

• Full refund of the accommodation cost if you cancel at least seven days before check-in, and no admin fee for cancelling or changing dates.
• PayPal Pay in 3 or Pay in 30 days may be offered at checkout to eligible customers.

How to save more

• Compare the checkout total, not the nightly rate. The cleaning charge is per stay, so it costs less per night on longer trips.
• A 3+1 apartment sleeps up to six, so splitting one between two families can work out cheaper per person than separate rooms.
• Book with more than seven days to spare so you keep the full-refund option if plans change.
