Pro-Camera is a family-run camera shop based in Repton, Derbyshire, trading as Middleton Hill Ltd. It sells online to customers across the UK, covering cameras and lenses from Canon, Nikon, OM System and Hasselblad, plus video kit and everyday accessories such as bags, tripods, filters, flashes and memory cards.

The shop focuses on UK stock with a UK warranty, and each product page states that the price shown has no import VAT or duties to add. That suits anyone buying a first proper camera, upgrading a lens, or looking for a ready-made kit without sorting out every accessory separately. Most items carry a two-year warranty handled by Pro-Camera itself.

If you're new to photography, the site also has a beginner guide and a set of photography guides, and the team can be reached by phone on 01283 704333 for advice before you buy.

How to save more

• Read the price match page before asking. It explains which sellers are excluded, such as sites trading under Hong Kong law.
• Price up a themed beginner kit against buying the camera, lens, bag, tripod and card separately, since the kit gets everything in one order.
• Hold off installing firmware updates until you're sure you're keeping something, as items with completed updates can't be returned.
