The Regal Mutt is a small family business in the Vale of Glamorgan selling natural dog treats and chews online. It's a good fit if you get through treats quickly, whether for training, rewards or keeping a chewer busy, because much of the range comes in 1kg bags rather than small pouches. The team also gives £500 a month to small UK dog charities, and says it has donated more than £46,000 so far.

The range splits into meaty snacks and longer-lasting chews. On the snack side there are chicken and duck fillets, chicken and carrot sticks, chewy twists and chicken and calcium bones. For chewing there are Himalayan yak chews (plain and flavoured), antlers, olive wood chews, ostrich bones and vegetable dental chews. You can also shop by protein, which is handy if your dog does better on one meat, with beef, chicken, deer, duck, fish and ostrich options.

The business started out looking for natural treats for its own dogs and says it has now made more than 750,000 sales, with more than 30 independent shops stocking the range as well. Each month it opens nominations on Facebook and Instagram for the next small dog charity to receive a donation, so regular customers can suggest a local rescue. If you have a question before ordering, the team answers by phone and email on weekdays and aims to reply within 24 hours.
