Sitpack: pocket-sized stools and fold-down camping chairs from Denmark

Sitpack is a Danish brand built around one idea: a seat small enough to carry everywhere. Its ZEN stool is a one-legged, Y-shaped perch that unfolds in about five seconds, made for gig queues, festivals, sports touchlines, fishing and anywhere else you'd otherwise be standing for hours. The range has since grown into a compact camping kit: chairs, a table, blankets, a sleeping pad and a lantern.

It suits people who travel light, whether that's festival-goers, walkers who want a proper sit-down at lunch, or anyone with a small car boot. The site opens in dollars by default, but choosing the United Kingdom in the country selector switches prices to pounds, and orders go out by DHL Express.

What's worth a look

Six products from the range, with prices as shown on 7 October with the UK selected.

The Campster II is the one to start with if you want a real chair rather than a perch. It has an aluminium frame and ripstop nylon seat, folds to roughly the size of a 1.5-litre bottle and comes with a shoulder-strap case. As the evenings get colder, the matching seat warmer slips over it.

The OCTO Ranger Telescopic Lamp is the main reduction at the moment. It's a 30cm telescopic lantern that also works as an area light and a 12,000mAh power bank, with a magnetic base for sticking it to a car or tent pole.

The original idea is still here in the ZEN X, a one-legged stool with a hammock-style seat, an aluminium frame and a small storage pocket, made in black anodised aluminium or carbon fibre. You lean back on it rather than sit down fully, which takes the weight off your legs in a queue or at a gig. To round out a camp set-up, the Campster folding aluminium table and the Airwrap puffy blankets pack down small enough to go in the same bag.
