Terralec: stage lighting, PA and effects from an Essex warehouse

Terralec is a sound and lighting supplier based in Rochford, Essex, trading since 1989. Its customers range from school drama departments and village hall theatre groups to mobile DJs, bands, hire companies and venues, and the shop is laid out for all of them: audio, lighting, effects, cables, cases, stands and truss, plus the nuts and bolts needed to build your own flight cases.

The trade counter is attached to the main warehouse, so a lot of stock ships from the UK quickly, and there is a team of technicians who will talk through a project before you buy. If you are putting on a school show, upgrading a band's PA or adding a bit of haze to a party, it is a practical place to start.

The site also has technical guides, including one on radio microphones, and it publishes product recalls in its news section. A recent example covered a fog machine with a remote control connection fault. If you are not sure whether a mixer, amplifier or set of lights will work with what you already have, the team is happy to take a call on 01702 547571 during office hours, Monday to Friday.
