About BIBA
BIBA is an Indian fashion label founded in 1988 by Meena Bindra, and its name comes from the Punjabi word for a pretty woman. It's best known for women's ethnic wear that mixes traditional craft with modern cuts, and it's run today by BIBA Fashion Limited from Gurugram, near Delhi, with Siddharth Bindra as managing director. The brand's peacock-feather logo is a familiar sight in Indian shopping centres.
The range covers straight, anarkali, A-line, kalidar and flared kurta sets, unstitched dress materials, kurtas and short kurtis, dupattas and shrugs, palazzos, churidars and salwars, plus dresses, sarees, jewellery and a girls' range. There are festive and wedding edits, a BIBA Luxe line, workwear and casual collections, and a younger BIBA Nxt label. Most sets come as kurta, bottoms and dupatta together, and many pieces are cotton, rayon or poly linen.
BIBA has a dedicated UK site with prices in pounds. Everything ships from its warehouses in India by DHL, usually leaving within about 24 hours, and UK delivery is a flat £18 on orders up to £110 and free above that. DHL handles customs clearance, though import charges can occasionally apply. The big catch is that international orders can't be returned or exchanged, so you can only cancel before your order is packed.
