Swiss Watches Direct is an independent online watch retailer based near Pevensey in East Sussex. The company was registered in April 2005 as TAG Watches Direct Ltd and later renamed, and it says it has sold watches online ever since to around 30,000 customers. It is not an authorised dealer for the brands it sells and says plainly that it isn't affiliated with them. Instead it buys brand-new watches from official authorised dealers in the UK and Europe, which is how it can sell below the recommended retail price.
Its specialities are TAG Heuer, Breitling, Omega and Longines, typically listed at 15 to 20% below RRP, with the RRP shown next to each price. It also stocks Baume et Mercier, Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Chopard, Grand Seiko, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Rado, Tudor and Zenith, plus watch winders and bracelets. Every watch is new with its serial number, and comes with an authorised-dealer-stamped, activated international warranty card. Swiss Watches Direct adds its own two-year cover for quartz batteries.
It sells online only, with phone sales on weekdays. Each listing shows its own delivery time, often several working days while the watch is sourced, and UK orders go by fully insured Royal Mail Special Delivery. VAT is removed for international, Channel Islands, BFPO and FCDO orders. Finance is available through Novuna, as Swiss Watches Direct Ltd is an FCA-authorised credit broker.
