About The GUM Clinic
The GUM Clinic is an online sexual health testing service run by Online Medical Services Limited, which has its registered office at 7 Tufton Street in London. The company was incorporated in January 2008. Medical services are provided by Online Clinic (UK) Limited, which is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and samples are tested at The Doctors Laboratory in London.
You order a test online and a sampling kit comes in discreet packaging with a prepaid return envelope. You send the sample back to the lab and view your result in a secure online account, with an SMS alert if you choose. The range covers single tests such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis, faster four-hour lab options, and combined screens. Prices run from £29.95 for a single test to £299.95 for the Full Screen Extended. The clinic says it can arrange treatment for some infections if a result is positive.
Kits are only sent to UK addresses, and users must be 18 or over. The site has a symptom checker, information pages on common infections, and a helpline staffed 24 hours a day. Card payments show on statements as OnlineMedicalServices2.
