Hello Molly is an online womenswear brand from Sydney that launched in 2012 and now sells in more than 100 countries. UK shoppers get their own site, priced in pounds with VAT included, and orders are sent from a warehouse in Birmingham, so there's no waiting for a parcel from Australia.

It's best known for dresses. If you've got a wedding, a Christmas party, a birthday night out or a holiday coming up, the dress section is huge, split by length, occasion, colour and fabric. There are also tops, skirts, co-ord sets, knitwear, coats, swimwear, shoes and accessories, plus its own labels such as Dear Emilia for occasionwear and BASE by Hello Molly for basics. Sizes run from XS (UK 6) to XL (UK 14), so it suits shoppers within that range rather than anyone needing extended sizing.

With autumn parties on the way, the Slay Standard Long Sleeve Mini Dress is a useful black dress in a stretchy fabric with a wrap skirt and metal hardware detail. The Good Outfit Day Tweed Mini Dress is a wool-blend option with cap sleeves and a flared skirt that would work for daytime events too.

Not every best seller is a dress. The Sea Silky Satin Maxi Skirt pairs with a knit for winter, and the BASE ribbed tops and shorts sit at the cheaper end of the range. If you're buying for someone else, gift cards run from £25 to £500.

If there's a wedding coming up, the bridesmaid section can be filtered by colour, so a group can match without hunting through the whole dress range.
