Sterling Home: Scottish family furniture store with GB-wide delivery

Sterling Home is a family-owned furniture retailer from Scotland that has been trading since 1974. It began when founder George Knowles Snr turned a disused paper mill in Tillicoultry into a huge furniture showroom, and the Old Mill is still its flagship, now with a homestore, garden centre and café. There are also stores in Glasgow, Uddingston, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Aberdeen, Elgin and Montrose, and the website delivers across mainland Great Britain.

It suits anyone furnishing a living room or bedroom who wants well-known brands and proper delivery. Alongside its own ranges you'll find Parker Knoll, G Plan, Ercol, Stressless, Sealy, Tempur and Hypnos, plus homewares from Denby, Joseph Joseph and Catherine Lansfield. Large furniture comes with two-person delivery and installation: the crew places it in the room you choose, assembles it (apart from flat-pack and garden furniture) and takes the packaging away.

If you can't wait weeks for a made-to-order sofa, the Quick Delivery section groups sofas, beds, dining and living room pieces that are ready to go sooner. Finance is available too, through V12 Retail Finance, for spreading the cost of bigger purchases, subject to status.

Current offers

We don't have Sterling Home codes yet, but there's plenty on the site itself:

• The Autumn Savings event covers furniture and homewares, and the banner says many offers end on Monday.
• Selected Sealy divan bed sets carry an extra 20% off.
• Some pieces come with free delivery, including the Zara 4 seater, armchair and footstool when bought as a bundle; see the free delivery collection.
• Homewares sent by courier are free over £60, or £6.95 below that.

How to save more

• Use the Price Promise. If the same new item is cheaper at another UK retailer that has shops as well as a website, Sterling Home will match it, but you need to ask before your delivery is confirmed.
• Delivery and installation for large furniture is a flat £119 per order however many big pieces you buy, so it's cheaper to furnish a room in one go than piece by piece.
• Add cushions, lamps or bedding to a furniture order: homewares are delivered free when your order includes furniture.

Products, prices and offers checked on the store's own website on 8 Oct 2026. Prices and stock can change.
