Baharat: Turkish kebab seasonings and bundles for takeaway-style nights in

Baharat makes kebab seasonings for people who'd rather cook their Friday-night doner at home. The founder, Aslan, is half Turkish, and he and his wife started the brand in 2022 after getting fed up with sugary shop-bought blends. The recipes come from his family in Turkey, and Baharat says its blends contain no sugar and no additives.

It suits anyone who batch-cooks, does a lot of air fryer or barbecue cooking, or wants takeaway flavours without the takeaway bill. Each jar comes with recipe ideas, and the site has a free recipe blog too.

What's worth a look

Here are six picks from the Baharat shop, at today's prices.

If you're new to the brand, the Favourite Collection is the easy starting point. It brings together Doner, Chicken Shish, Shawarma and Kofte for £34.99, which is less than buying the four jars separately. Keen cooks who want the lot can go for the eight-jar Full Flavour Bundle, which adds Lamb Shish, Adana, tzatziki seasoning and chip seasoning.

The Meat Spike is the fun one. It's a 21cm stainless-steel spike for stacking seasoned meat into a mini doner in the oven or air fryer, and it comes with a free doner seasoning. Finish things off with the 280ml Kebab Chilli Sauce.

There's more to explore beyond the classics. The Tikka & Tandoori Duo and the Kofte & Shawarma pair are both £18.99. The Air Fryer Collection groups four blends that work well in an air fryer, and the Baharat Mystery Box is £27.99 (usually £34.99) if you're happy to let Baharat choose. A single 150g doner jar makes around 15 meals, so even the small jars go a long way.

Orders go out by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and usually arrive in two to three working days. The country selector also lists Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. If you have allergies, check the ingredient lists on the FAQ page first: some blends contain celery or mustard.

Current offers

We don't have any Baharat codes yet, but the site has these on:

• Spend £34 or more and you get free delivery plus a free Chicken Doner seasoning.
• New customers get 10% off their first order by signing up to the newsletter.
• Bundles are reduced, for example the Full Flavour Bundle is £64.99 instead of £79.92.

How to save more

• Buy bundles rather than single jars. Single jars are £9.99 each, so a bundle works out cheaper per flavour.
• Free delivery starts at £29, and the £34 threshold adds a free jar, so it's worth topping up a small order.
• Order before midday on a weekday for same-day dispatch, as nothing ships at weekends.
