Candles Direct: half-price Yankee Candle gift sets and cheaper large jars

Shopping at Candles Direct? See all current Candles Direct discount codes and deals, checked regularly.

Candles Direct is a Belfast-based candle specialist that sells online across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Most of what it stocks is Yankee Candle, in every format from the classic large jar to votives, wax melts, reed diffusers, plug-in refills and car jars, with a good WoodWick selection and smaller ranges from P.F. Candle Co. and Wax Lyrical. It's a handy shop if you already know your favourite scent and want it for less, or if you're hunting for a candle gift set before Christmas.

Prices are in pounds, most orders leave within 24 hours, and you earn loyalty points on purchases over £1. In the autumn the site adds separate sections for Christmas gift sets, advent calendars and new seasonal fragrances, and there are gift pages for birthdays, teachers and weddings too.

What's worth a look

These are six candles and gift sets on the site today, all reduced from their regular price.

For the countdown to Christmas, the Apres Ski Advent Wreath Gift Set is half price at £14.49. It holds 24 scented tea lights in eight fragrances, including Christmas Cookie, Black Cherry and Silver Sage and Pine, plus a glass holder. The Perfect Christmas Premium Gift Set is also half price, at £24.99: it comes with a Signature medium jar, twelve tea lights, a holder and a wick trimmer in a tin you can keep.

If you'd rather have one big candle, many Yankee Candle large jars are £23.99 instead of £29.99, and the brand says they burn for 110 to 150 hours. WoodWick fans will find the large hourglass jars with the crackling wooden wick reduced too.

Away from jar candles, there are wax melts and melt warmers, reed diffusers and refills, plug-in diffusers, room sprays and incense, and car jars and vent sticks for the car. UK delivery starts at £3.95, with a £9.95 DHL Express option if you need something quickly, and most orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Full-price items can be returned within 30 days if they're unused and in their original packaging.
