Cartridge People is an online shop run by The Cartridge People Ltd from Crewe in Cheshire, which says it has been trading since 2001. It sells original ink and toner from brands such as HP, Brother, Canon and Epson alongside its own-brand compatible cartridges, and has grown into printers, paper, label tapes, batteries, stationery and cleaning supplies. It suits home printers who want to spend less on ink, and small offices that buy supplies regularly.

Its own-brand compatible cartridges are covered by a Lifetime Printer Guarantee, and many listings say how much ink or how many pages you get compared with the original. The site blocks automated visits, so the prices below are from the most recent archived copy of its pages we could read. Delivery options in that copy included standard tracked delivery, a priority dispatch upgrade and DPD next working day, pre-noon and Saturday services, with orders going out from warehouses in Cheshire. Business customers can open an account for invoicing and quick reordering.

• Buy ink, paper and stationery together to reach the free delivery threshold, and keep a spare cartridge in the drawer so you are not paying for next-day delivery when one runs out.
• Unwanted unused items can go back within 30 days, but you must contact customer services first and pay the return postage.
