Connect Fibre is a UK broadband provider that builds its own full fibre network, so the connection runs on fibre all the way into your home rather than switching to copper at the street cabinet. Speeds go up to 2000 Mbps, every package includes a TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 router, and the company says prices stay the same for the length of your contract. It is backed by the investment manager Foresight Group and its support team is based in the UK.

The catch is coverage. Connect Fibre is rolling out town by town, so the first thing to do is enter your postcode on its site. If your home isn't connected yet you can register interest, and in some areas you can pre-order before the build is finished. It suits households that want fast full fibre, people who game or work from home, and anyone tired of mid-contract price rises.

What's worth a look

  • Big Gaming Bundle: aimed at households with several players, with Connect Mesh Wi-Fi for coverage in every room. Currently £20 a month for the first 3 months for new customers, then £49 a month (prices can change).
  • Level Up Bundle: adds a static IP for gamers who want a fixed address. Currently £30 a month for the first 3 months, then £59 a month.
  • Wall to Wall Ultimate Bundle: built for home working, with mesh Wi-Fi so the spare room or garden office gets a decent signal. Currently £30 a month for 3 months, then £47 a month.
  • 1Gbps broadband: a straightforward broadband plan, currently £29 a month for 12 months and then £39 a month.
  • Family broadband and TV bundles: add Connect TV, with the main free-to-air channels, access to streaming apps (subscriptions sold separately) and more than 250 cloud games with a wireless controller included.

The homepage lists plans from £25 a month fixed for 24 months. Exact prices depend on your address, so the postcode checker is where you'll see what's available to you.

Current offers

  • Big Gaming Bundle at £20 a month for the first 3 months, then £49 (new customers).
  • Level Up Bundle at £30 a month for the first 3 months, then £59 (new customers).
  • Wall to Wall Ultimate Bundle at £30 a month for the first 3 months, then £47 (new customers).
  • 1Gbps full fibre at £29 a month for 12 months, then £39.
  • Refer a friend: once your friend has been connected for 3 months, you both get £60 account credit, with no limit on referrals.

How to save more

  • Work out the total cost over the whole contract. A low price for the first 3 or 12 months looks good, but the price afterwards matters more on a 24-month term.
  • Only pay for mesh if you need it. A single Wi-Fi 7 router covers many homes, and extra mesh nodes cost more each month.
  • Once you're connected, share your referral details. Each friend who joins earns you both £60 credit after 3 months.

You pay by Direct Debit, and nothing is charged until the installation is finished. Installs usually take one to two hours once the engineer arrives. Support is open seven days a week by phone, chat, WhatsApp and email.
