DATOUBOSS makes lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and inverters for campervans, boats, sheds, off-grid cabins and home solar set-ups. The company dates back to 2017, and its online store is run from Hong Kong, with warehouses in the UK, Germany and Poland. It suits DIY solar and van-conversion fans who are comfortable choosing between 12V, 24V and 48V systems and wiring things up themselves, or with an electrician.

One thing to know before you shop: prices on the UK store are shown in euros, so the amount on your statement depends on the exchange rate, and your bank may add a foreign transaction fee.

What's worth a look

• 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery: currently €152.76, down from €206, with a 100A battery management system. A common size for leisure batteries in campervans and small solar set-ups.
• 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter: currently €136.79, down from €458, with a UK socket plus USB and USB-C outputs, for running mains appliances from a 12V battery.
• 48V 314Ah 16kWh LiFePO4 Battery: currently €1,658.80, down from €3,016. A wheeled, metal-cased battery for home energy storage. The brand notes that large batteries like this travel by truck, which takes longer.
• Solar Inverter WiFi Module: currently €33, down from €100, for monitoring a compatible inverter from a phone app.

Prices can change, so check the product page before you order. The wider catalogue also covers hybrid solar inverters from 3000W to 11kW, wall-mounted and rack-mounted 51.2V batteries and bundled power kits, but many of those were showing as sold out on the UK store when we looked. Some items are sold as pre-orders, which the brand says ship in 30 to 50 days.
