Dream Home Store, or DHS, is an online furniture shop run by Dhammatek Limited from a warehouse in Boston, Lincolnshire. It was set up by Anil Kumar to sell furniture for every room at lower prices, and it says it works with the UK manufacturer Blisswood Furniture. Most of what it sells is flat-pack or ready-to-assemble furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, home offices and gardens.

It suits anyone furnishing a bedroom or a first home on a budget, especially if you want storage: ottoman beds that lift up, wardrobes with built-in drawers, chests of drawers and bunk beds that split into two singles. Prices often show a sale price against a higher regular price.

Delivery works in two ways. Smaller items go by tracked courier, free to the UK mainland and usually in one or two days. Larger furniture such as beds and wardrobes comes on DHS's own vans: free across much of England, with a £15 to £25 charge for the South West, the North East, Wales and parts of Scotland, and you pick a delivery date at checkout.

What's worth a look

Six picks from the bedroom and garden ranges, with prices as shown today.

For a small bedroom, the Winged Ottoman Bed Frame with Lines gives you a channel-tufted headboard and gas-lift storage under the mattress, from £267.60 in double or king size. The Solid Wood Detachable Double Bunk Bed in dark grey pine splits into two separate beds when the children want their own rooms, at £215.99. Some lines, including the bunk bed and the upholstered ottoman bed, were showing as backordered when we looked, so check the stock note before ordering.

Current offers

• Extra 10% off with code EXTRA10. The homepage banner shows this code for 10% off all products, with a countdown to midnight, so check it's still showing before you rely on it.
• Free UK mainland delivery on courier items, and free van delivery for large items across much of England. Details are on the shipping page.
• Price Match Guarantee: if you find the identical item cheaper on another UK retailer's website, DHS says it will match it. See the price match terms.
• Clearance Sale: a clearance section collects reduced lines.

How to save more

• Ask for a price match before you order: it isn't available once the order is placed, and it excludes marketplaces like eBay and Amazon Marketplace, clearance and voucher prices.
• Check your postcode against the van delivery zones if you live outside the free areas, so the £15 to £25 charge doesn't surprise you at checkout.
• Inspect the boxes when they arrive. Damage has to be reported within 48 hours with photos, and the policy asks you to mark damaged boxes on the courier's paperwork.
