Enjoy The Wood is a family business from Ukraine, started in 2014 by Igor and Maryna Fostenko. It began by selling engraved wooden homeware on Etsy and is now best known for layered wooden world maps that hang on a wall like a sculpture. You can push pins into them to mark where you've been, which makes them a natural gift for anyone who travels a lot, or for a couple planning trips together.

The shop has grown well beyond maps. There are wooden maps of single countries (the United Kingdom and Ireland among them), city and lake maps, display boxes for wine corks and coins, family trees, recipe books and a kids' range. The site shows prices in pounds for UK visitors, but orders are sent from abroad, so read the delivery notes further down before you buy.

The 3D LED Wooden World Map 3.0 is the showpiece, with built-in lighting behind the layers. At £305 it's a big purchase, so measure your wall first. If you'd rather design your own, the Custom Wooden World Map starts at £115 and lets you choose colours. For a smaller gift, the officially licensed Harry Potter night lights are £68 each and are currently marked with free shipping.

Parents and grandparents should look at the kids' section. The Toy Car Garage Storage is a wall-mounted parking garage that doubles as storage for a toy car collection, and there are play kitchens, growth charts and wooden name puzzles too. For wine lovers or collectors, the cork display boxes and coin displays are smaller, cheaper gifts that still show off the woodwork. Each product page lists sizes and colour options, so check those before adding to your basket.
