Hairdressing Supplies is an online wholesaler run from Lincoln for hairdressers, barbers and salon owners. It used to trade as Hairdressing Supplies Lincoln, and it now lists more than 6,000 professional products: the colour, developers, foils and towels a salon gets through every week, plus scissors, dryers, clippers and even backwash units and styling chairs. If you run a salon, rent a chair or work mobile, it's built for restocking quickly without paying high-street beauty prices.

One thing to know before you start comparing: prices on the site are listed before VAT, which is added at checkout. That's normal for trade suppliers, but it means a £8.50 tube is really £10.20 to most buyers. Orders placed before 1pm on a weekday go out the same day, and you can spread larger orders with Klarna, PayPal Credit or, for limited companies, iwocaPay.

What's worth a look

Colour is the core of the range. There's a shade chart section for most colour brands, and each colour page lets you pick several shades and add them in one go, which saves time on a big restock. If something you use regularly is out of stock, you can sign up for an email when it's back.
