Living Chic: furniture, lighting and homeware from the Garden Chic team

Living Chic is the home and lifestyle shop from Gudrum Classics, the Nottinghamshire-based company that has run Garden Chic and Simply Log Cabins since 2003. It launched in 2022 to do for the inside of the house what its sister sites do for the garden: a big catalogue from lots of suppliers, sold online with a UK phone and live chat team to answer questions.

It suits anyone furnishing a room on a budget who'd rather buy from one site than five. Alongside sofas, beds, sideboards, desks and lighting, you'll find mirrors, rugs, fans and heaters, plus a surprising amount for outside and for pets: garden furniture, BBQs, playhouses, kennels and even tortoise houses. Brands include HOMCOM, Pawhut, Vida Designs, Pacific Lifestyle and Cerland. There's no showroom, so it's all bought online or by phone.

What's worth a look

Six things from across the range, with the prices shown on the Living Chic site today.

For a quick living room refresh, the Modern 2-Light Floor Lamp with Shelves is £45.99, down from £72.99, and doubles as somewhere to put books or plants. The Corona 5ft king bed in solid pine with a distressed finish is £165. Outside, the tall slatted Cerland Horizon planter comes with a pot insert and is £134.25 against £179.

Pet owners should look past the furniture too. The Pawhut wooden tortoise house has clear viewing windows and a storage shelf for £76.99, and there are kennels, cat trees and hutches in the same section. For a bit of shine in a living room, the mirrored Elysee side table is £215.

Some reductions are small (the Highland cow footstool is £1 off), so judge on the price rather than the sale badge.

Current offers

• Children's playhouses: up to 35% off until 14 December, according to the homepage banner. The range is in the playhouses section.
• Halloween clearance: inflatables and decorations are reduced in the seasonal clearance, such as an inflatable Halloween tree for £30.99 (was £47.99).
• Free delivery over £50 to most mainland UK postcodes. Below that, delivery is £5.
• 0% finance: Black Horse FlexPay at 0% for up to 6 months on spends of £500 to £5,000, subject to status.

How to save more

• Pop your postcode into the basket before you pay. Many items come straight from the supplier, and some add a surcharge for places like the Scottish Highlands.
• If you spot the identical item cheaper at another UK retailer, ask about the Price Promise before ordering. It doesn't cover marketplace sellers and can't be added to clearance prices or discount codes.
• Orders under £50 pay £5 delivery, so a small add-on can work out cheaper than paying for postage.
