Closs & Hamblin has been trading since 1933, when it opened in London selling silks and dress fabrics. Still run by the Hamblin family, it's now a furnishing specialist with showrooms across the South East, in Brighton, Canterbury, Chichester, Guildford, Horsham, Tunbridge Wells and Winchester, where the focus is bespoke curtains, blinds and shutters.
Online, the range is broader. Alongside ready-made curtains, poles and tracks, you'll find designer fabric and wallpaper from Laura Ashley, Morris & Co, Sanderson, Harlequin and Zoffany, plus bedding, throws, cushions, rugs, table lamps and wall art. It suits anyone giving a room a refresh before Christmas, or looking for a gift from a well-known homeware name, and the online made-to-measure service lets you order curtains and Roman blinds in a fabric of your choice.

For colder evenings the Laura Ashley Parker chunky knit throw is 100% cotton and measures 125 x 150cm, while the Callaghan rechargeable table lamp can go anywhere without a trailing cable. Bedding is priced by piece and bed size, so the price ranges shown cover the different options.
If you're planning new curtains, the made-to-measure pages let you browse fabrics first and order samples. Bespoke items, fabric and wallpaper can't be returned unless faulty, so a sample is worth the small wait.
