Magazines Direct is the official subscription shop of Future, the publisher behind a long list of British magazines. You won't find other publishers' titles here, but if you read Country Life, Ideal Home, Livingetc, woman&home, Classic Rock, FourFourTwo, Golf Monthly, What Hi-Fi? or The Week, this is where they sell subscriptions direct. It suits regular readers who are tired of paying the cover price, and anyone looking for a gift that keeps arriving through the year.
Most titles come in print, digital or a bundle of both. Each product page lists the shop price alongside the subscription price and the percentage you save, UK delivery is included, and you can pick the issue you want to start with in the basket.

If you're trying a title for the first time, the trial offers are the cheapest way in. The Week Junior, the weekly news magazine for children, is £10 for the first 10 issues, and Country Life is £10 for 6 issues. Both roll on to the standard rate afterwards unless you cancel, so make a note of the follow-on price.
For a hobby magazine, the 6-month rolling print options are good value without a long commitment: Livingetc is £26.99 for six issues against a £41.94 shop price. There are also one-off bookazines, such as The Story of Final Fantasy, plus fan guides and Christmas specials, and back issues of specialist titles like Retro Gamer, Metal Hammer and Prog.
Digital subscriptions can be read on up to five Apple or Android devices, and issues can be downloaded for offline reading, which is handy for commuting or holidays. Print copies go by Royal Mail, and some titles now arrive in paper wrapping or with no wrapping at all to cut down on plastic. Once you've subscribed, the separate My Magazine site lets you change your address, claim a missing or damaged issue, or pause deliveries for up to three months if you're going away.
Current offers
We don't have any Magazines Direct codes at the moment, but the site's own prices carry the savings:
- Trial offers for new subscribers, including The Week Junior at 10 issues for £10 and Country Life at 6 issues for £10.
- Subscription savings shown on each title, such as 36% off Livingetc and 38% off Classic Rock on the 6-month print options.
- UK delivery included in every subscription price.
How to save more
- Compare the term lengths. On Livingetc, the 6-month and 2-year print options both save 36%, while the 1-year option saves 30%.
- If you read on a tablet, look at the digital option: it's cheaper than print and includes access to the back-issue archive.
- Trials renew automatically. If you only want the trial, set a reminder to cancel through your My Magazine account before the full rate starts.
