Pink Pig makes sketchbooks and notebooks by hand in Yorkshire. Every book is made to order, and with the choice of cover colour, size, orientation, binding and paper, the site counts more than 7,000 combinations. Sizes go from little 4 x 4 inch squares up to A2.

It suits art students, illustrators, urban sketchers, journal keepers and parents stocking up for school. Covers come in around 35 colours, from Ruby and Tigerlilly to Sea Grey and Ebony. Papers include cartridge in white, off-white and black, a brown paper made from recycled coffee cups, and Bockingford and Ameleie watercolour paper. Pink Pig ships to UK addresses only.

Bindings include twin wire, casebound and staple stitched. The company says it buys acid-free pulp from accredited sources, its grey board is made from recycled waste and its Bergung Pig books use 100% recycled paper. There are separate Pink Pig trade and education shops for bulk orders, and a Seaside collection and a study essentials range on the main site. Customer services are open Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm and on Friday mornings, on 01226 297026 or by email.
