Shower Blocks makes solid shower gel, shampoo bars and hand soap by hand in its own unit in Horley, Surrey. The company was started in 2020 by its founder Neil, who wanted a way to stop getting through so many plastic bottles. Its main product is a 100g block that sits between soap and shower gel, sold in recyclable cardboard. The range is plant based, vegan friendly and free from SLS and parabens, so it suits anyone trying to cut plastic from the bathroom without giving up a lathery shower.

The company says its products are between 96 and 100% natural depending on the item, and that making everything in its own facility lets it control quality and keep prices down. It does use some RSPO-certified palm oil in its shower blocks and explains that choice on its website. The scents are fairly consistent across the range, so you can match a shower block, shampoo bar and hand soap if you like.
